Mercedes-Benz and Ducati Team Up To Design SLK 55 AMG and Streetfighter 848

It's been a little over a year since Mercedes-Benz and Ducati decided to team up. To celebrate their anniversary together, the luxury automaker and high-end motorcycle designer decided to show off the most powerful Mercedes- Benz SLK made to date - the 55 AMG and lightweight, zephyr of a motorcycle - the Ducati Streetfighter 848.

Both the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG and Ducati Streetfighter 848 sport a bright yellow exterior. Inside, the SLK 55 AMG is appointed in rich nappa leather with contrasting yellow stitching. It also features the signature AMG Performance steering wheel. Outside, it's distinguished by light alloy wheels, AMG exclusive body styling (including AMG spoiler lip) and two sets of chrome-plated twin tailpipes. To top off the ambiance, the AMG door sill panels are illuminated in yellow and complete with LED technology.

In addition to a bold look, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG and Ducati Streetfighter 848 share another thing in common. Neither model was specially tuned for the show. The raw power they demonstrate is a la natural. For the 500-pound Streetfighter 848, that's 132 horsepower (hp). For the SLK 55 AMG, which we previously mentioned is the most powerful SLK ever, that's a catch-your-breath 422 hp!

Given that the joint venture between AMG and Ducati began not long ago, in 2010, and already, they're wowing the world by merging their design and engineering genius; Mercedes-Benz of Northwest Arkansas is eager to see what they'll deliver to enthusiasts next. As such, we plan on following future developments closely so that you too can have the inside scoop.
